Ready for Paranormal Investigation?

If things suddenly float in mid-air, shadows appear out ofnowhere, and heavy furniture starts moving on its own, who ya gonna  call?

Ghost busters, of course!

In less glamorous terms, you would consult paranormal investigators to check your house for haunting and verify if you are truly being subjected to paranormal phenomena. They will do so by using special electronic equipment to check for sudden changes in the energy of your house, his may signal that spirits are present or passing through. They might also try to contact the spirits, conduct research on the past circumstances of your current location, and even interview you on your experiences.

Are you interested in paranormal investigation? Then take note of the following:

• Paranormal activity is usually higher in places where violent or sudden deaths may have occurred. These  include, but will not be limited to: battlefields, cemeteries, churches, prisons, schools, theaters, and hotels.

• Investigation will require equipment such as a camera, remote thermometers and thermal scanners. Gauges to monitor changes in the electromagnetic field, motion detectors, and voice recorders are also used to detect activity.

• Any investigation is potentially dangerous, so you should never do them alone.

If you are about to embark on a paranormal investigation as part of the investigative team, remember the following:

• Keep an open mind –remember you are there to investigate and document, not to judge or go on a thrill ride. Some phenomena may actually have a logical explanation, so don’t jump to conclusions too easily.

• Do your preliminary research – before going to a site, read up and investigate everything about it. Take note of the who, what, where, when, and  the why of the site’s history. Take  notes.

• Work as a team – assign who uses what equipment, and coordinate any hand signals you may need to use. You must not talk during investigations, as this will affect your recordings. Spirits also often use scents to signal their presence, so all team members should not wear any colognes or perfumes.

• Get rid of all negative energy – recruit unstressed team members, as negative energy can influence the team and the spirits.

• Be professional – handle all investigations with respect. If you are asked to keep the investigation confidential, put the statement down in writing and have it signed by both you and the person or persons requesting the investigation.

Whether you are investigating or conducting the investigation, remember that paranormal investigation is a serious matter. Move forward with caution, and be on your guard.
